Vancouver-area riders are lucky to have easy access to the fun trails and logging roads near Saddle Dam, the dam that creates Yale Lake. Located off Hwy. 503, the Saddle Dam area trails explore a ridge northwest of the lake and offer terrific riding opportunities.
The Riding
You can ride to Frasier Pond,
or to a viewpoint on a high shoulder of the ridge (from which you can see Lake Merwin's Cresap Bay and Frasier Pond below you).
You can take the Saddle Dam Trail, which roughly follows the shore of Yale Lake.
Or you can just explore the logging roads in the area.
No matter where you ride, the Saddle Dam area will not disappoint.
