How you park your trailer could save you aggravation -- or maybe save your life

Always park your truck and trailer facing your exit route.  That way, if you have to evacuate quickly because of a fire or other emergency, you can load your horse, jump in your truck, and drive away.  And if your rig is facing outward at a trailhead, you’ll be far less likely to be blocked in by thoughtlessly-parked hiker cars.  It’s better to spend the time backing into your parking place or camping spot when you first arrive and you’re fresh, rather than having to concentrate on backing out after you’ve returned from a long ride and are tired. Or in an emergency, when you’re under pressure.  Always park your rig facing outward.  One day it may really count, and you’ll be glad you did!
