If you're planning to go to Three Creek Meadow Horse Camp this summer, you may be required to have a permit to enter the Three Sisters Wilderness. It all depends on where you want to go.
Wilderness Permit Requirements
For example, you must have a permit to ride to Tam McArthur Rim.
However, you won't need a permit to go to Park Meadow or Golden Lake.
And you won't need a permit for the non-Wilderness rides, like the trail to Three Creek and Little Three Creek Lakes.
You won't need a permit for the Metolius-Windigo Trail, either.
How to Get a Permit
You can get your permit for the Tam McArthur Rim Trail at www.Recreation.gov, but plan ahead. The number of permits available is limited, and when they're gone, they're gone.
