Horse Creek Horse Camp has gorgeous new corrals!
If you’ve ridden the Cape Mountain Trails near Florence, Oregon the last couple of years, you probably noticed that the corrals at Horse Creek Campground were in pretty sad shape. Corral rails were broken, posts wobbled, and the stalls were mud pits in wet weather. But not anymore!
The Forest Service has installed new steel corrals in all but two of the campsites, and Oregon Equestrian Trails volunteers spread several tons of gravel in the stalls. The new corrals are beautiful, sturdy, and should last a long time.
Oregon Equestrian Trails volunteers also repaired the broken water system, so horses can now enjoy a source of fresh water near the camp.
Thank You to the Forest Service and Oregon Equestrian Trails!
